Flying in Croatia has a tradition almost as long as the rest of the world. Only a few years after the
historical flight of brothers Wright, the first airplane designed and built by a Croatian sets off.
In the 1910. the famous croatian inventor and engineer Slavoljub Penkala builds his aeoplane in a backup
hangar on Crnomerec in Zagreb whith the help of Dragutin Novak, later the first croatian pilot. It's been
almost a century since then and generations of croatian pilots have been trained and through their achievements
reached the very peak of air sports in the world.
